There are 12 Among Us characters in total, each with their own distinct color. Here’s a full list:

Who are the Among Us Characters?
The Among Us characters are crewmembers of a spaceship that is captured by a strange and deadly imposter. They’re humanoid creatures with a fat aspect. They wear full-body spacesuits and small backpacks. The backpack’s use is unsure, though my guess is that it might be an oxygen tank or some things like that.
The crewmembers present no obvious hierarchy or specializations, meaning they can do any type of task on the ship without event. The provided imposter doesn’t kill them. Currently, the Among Us characters have no backstory, but that could vary over time as new maps and updates will be released by officials.
What are the Among Us Characters called?
Your Among Us character’s name can be chosen by you or by the player. It is a very simple process to change your name on Among Us and can be performed prior to the start of a new round.
Simply steer your way to the ‘Online’ menu, then click on ‘Enter Name’, then switch your existing title out for something fresh and exciting.
Always remember that you will not be able to change your name while you’re partway through around, as this would allow for all manner of confusing shenanigans.
