IPL 2021 Date Time and Schedule
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has not announced the IPL 2021 Date Time and Schedule of the 14th edition of the IPL to be held in 2021. But the game schedule of England’s recently released tour of India has indicated the start date of the league. The BCCI on Thursday announced the schedule of four Tests, five T20s and three ODIs for England’s tour of India.
The two-month-long series begins with the first Test on February 5. The test series will end on March 8.
The Test series will be followed by the T20 International Series from March 12 to 20. The one-day series will then end on March 28. After the two-month-long series, the players will get a few days to rest before the start of IPL 2021. After the India-England series, the players will be ready for the IPL after a 10-day break.
Then it will not be a surprise if the league starts in the second week of April. Looking at the previous seasons, the league has been organized around the second week of April.
The BCCI is expected to start the league on April 10. It will be time for the players to get ready and join the team.
As it is said that mega action will be organized before the league, the players are likely to be with a different team than the previous season.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is planning to add two new teams to the IPL 2021, with a final decision to be made by December 24.
According to Indian media, it is almost certain that Ahmedabad will be the ninth team in the IPL. The annual general meeting of the Cricket Board of India will take the final decision. Apart from Ahmedabad, the names of cities like Lucknow / Kanpur and Pune can also be added if more than one team is added.
