IPL 2021 Schedule on England
The offer to host the rest of the IPL games came from England. Four English counties have proposed to host the IPL 2021 in September. County teams Surrey, Warwickshire, MCC, and Lancashire have sent letters to the England Cricket Board asking the BCCI to keep the proposals, according to ESPN Cricinfo.
The BCCI is looking for a window to host the remaining 31 matches of the IPL. BCCI President Brajesh Patel has said that the BCCI is looking for a suitable venue before or after the T20 World Cup. UAE or Australia can be the destination for the IPL program.
The IPL could be held in England in September.
According to ESPN Cricinfo on Thursday, the IPL 2021 could be held in the second week of September in England. The four-county clubs that have been proposed are in three different cities. MCC and Surrey are based in London, while Warwickshire and Lancashire are based in Birmingham and Manchester.
According to Cricinfo, all the counties that have proposed to host the IPL will attend a virtual meeting with the ICC on Thursday to discuss it. According to him, if the IPL is held in England, the UAE playing fields will remain fresh for the T20 World Cup.
