Nepal Cricket Team
The Nepal national cricket is managed by the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) and is an Associate Member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) having One-Day International (ODI) and Twenty20 International (T20I) status.
Nepal evolved as ICC’s associate member in 1996 and was granted Twenty20 International (T20I) status by the ICC in June 2014 until the 2015 ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier. On 15 March 2018, Nepal achieved One Day International (ODI) status for the first time (and recovered Twenty20 International status), after succeeding in the first playoff match in the 2018 Cricket World Cup Qualifier.
Nepal completed its maiden arrival in the ICC global tournament at the 2014 ICC World Twenty20 in Bangladesh.
Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN)
The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) controls a total of 6 teams of Nepal Cricket:
1. Nepal national cricket team (men’s team)
2. Nepal women’s national cricket team
3. Nepal national under-19 cricket team (men’s team)
4. Nepal national under-19 women’s cricket team
5. Nepal national under-15 cricket team (men’s team)
6. Nepal national under-15 women’s cricket team
CAN is discussing making a new team for men’s cricket which will be Nepal A teams.
CAN also manages a number of domestic cricket leagues and events, including the Everest Premier League, the National League, and the Women’s National League.

World Records Made by the Nepal Cricket Team

Nepal bowled out Myanmar
In the 2006 ACC Cup match, Nepal bowled out Myanmar for 10 runs. Nepal fast bowler Mehboob Alam took 7 wickets by giving only 3 runs.

Nepali skipper Binod Das took 3 wickets by giving 4 runs which helped Nepal to all-out Myanmar in 10 runs. Mehboob Alam started to take a wicket from his first Over and ended in the seventh Over Myanmar all out for 4 runs.
In this match, Six batsmen got Duck out and five-man scored a run which helped Myanmar to reach 10 runs.
Mehboob Alam took 10 wickets in a match
He is a left-handed fast Bowler and left-handed batsman. He made his debut against Japan in November 2000. Mehboob Alam became a Guinness record holder when he took 10 wickets for 12 runs against Mozambique. This was his best bowling spell in a limited-over match.

This match was held in Jersey, in 2008 ICC World Cricket League Division Five. Anil Kumble and Jim Laker took 10 wickets in test matches. Nepal gave 289 runs target to Mozambique in which Mozambique only scored 19 runs. Mehboob Alam single-handedly won a match for team Nepal.
Kushal Malla Breaks the Record of Rohit Poudel
Khusal Malla became the Youngest cricket player to hit a Half-century for Nepal Cricket Team. At the age of just 16 and 146 days, he played a good Half-century Inning which made him a Record Holder.
He breaks the record of Sachin Tendulkar, which was made at the age of 29 years old. He made a Record in a match Against Host UAE. Nepal batted first and gave a target of 242/9. UAE got all out in 97 runs in 19.3 overs and won a match by 145 runs.

Anjali Chand World Record
In November 2019, She debuted for Team Nepal in the South Asian Games in the opening match.
She made a Record when she took 6 Wickket for No Runs from thirteen balls on 2 December 2019.
She made this world record Against a team in Maldives. This was the best Bowling figure in Women’s T20 matches.

Nepal won the match in 2 Ball
In the 2006 ACC Trophy Nepal played a match against Myanmar. In this Match Nepal took 10 wickets by giving 10 runs. Nepal fast bowler Mehboob Alam took 7 wickets by giving only 3 runs.

Shakti Prasad Gauchan
Shakti Gauchan has been the most economy bowler in any ODI. He is a good Spin Bowler. Against Malaysia, His bowling attack of 10 overs 2 runs 8 Medians, and 3 wickets evolved as a world record. After Playing 1st and 2nd ODI against the Netherlands.

Rahul B. K. in U19 World Cup
Left-handed Spin bowler Rahul B. K. is incapable of evolving as a regular player in the Nepali National Cricket Team. Against Papua New Guinea he grabbed 6 wickets by giving only 3 runs with an economy of 0.47.
In U19 World Cup cricket, he is the only player to evolve as such an economic and 6 wicket-taker player which is recorded in the Genesis Book of World Records.

First country Nepal with Women’s Blind Cricket Team
Nepal is the only country to have blind women’s national cricket team in the world which is one of the world record. Nepal is the first country to have a country with blind women’s National Cricket Team playing for their nation.

Nepal Won Against 2 Test Playing Nations
South Africa and New Zealand are not beaten by Associate countries. But when we speak about these teams both were beaten by Nepal in the Semi-Final and Final of the ICC U19 World Cup Cricket History in were beaten about the U19 defeat by Nepali U19 team which is country with ODI status.

Associate Country to Become World Cup Champion
Nepal is the only associate Cricket Nation that became the U19 World Cup Champion by beating South Africa and New Zealand in the ICC World Cup Tournament where the whole world witnessed the power of the Nepali cricket Team.
First Associate Team to Qualify for the T20 World Cup
Nepal qualified for the ICC World Twenty20 in 2014, evolving as the first Associate team to do so. They completed in the first match of the tournament.
