The triangular series between Nepal, Scotland, and Namibia under the World Cup League-2 will be held in Spain. A central member of the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) informed that the series was scheduled to be held in Scotland due to the corona Virus.

According to him, the issue of holding the series in Spain was discussed at the board meeting of CAN held on Friday. It was informed at the board meeting that the series is almost certain to take place in Spain. It is said that now the decision regarding the selection and training of the players is made, ‘he said.

The local government in Spain is yet to give permission for the series. Earlier, after Scotland placed Nepal in the red zone, there was a discussion about holding the league in Spain as the players would have difficulty in getting there.

The series is proposed to be held from the third week of July. The date of the league will be announced after the quarantine, training, and preparation of the national team are completed. The series will take place at the Desert Springs Ground in southern Spain. The stadium was recently recognized as an ODI ground.

The Corona Virus has affected most of the games in League-2. With the situation easing, the series was scheduled to take place in Scotland last year.

Nepal has played only one series so far in League-2 where each team has to play 9 series. Nepal, the USA, and Oman competed in the series held in Nepal in February 2076.
