  Sachin’s Son Arjun to Play in IPL   

Arjun, the son of Sachin Tendulkar, the former captain of the Indian cricket team and the best batsman in world cricket, is set to play in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021.

Mumbai Indians have signed Arjun for a minimum price of Rs 2 million at an auction held in Chennai on Thursday. He has been sold at auction for the first time. Mumbai is Sachin’s former team. Arjun was bought by Mumbai at the last minute of the auction. He was the last player to be bought in the 2021 auction.

Mumbai bought Nathan Coulter Nile and Adam Milne as fast bowlers along with Arjun at the Axis on Thursday. Nathan was bought for Rs 50 million and Milne for Rs 32 million.

Mumbai have signed spinner Piyush Chawla at a cost of Rs 24 million. Mumbai is known as a team of fast bowlers. Before the action, the team has world-class fast bowlers like Jaspreet Bumrah and Trent Bolt.

Arjun, a 21-year-old left-arm fast bowler, has played in India’s age group and domestic cricket. Arjun made his debut in the Shaid Mushtaq Ali Trophy against Mumbai in Mumbai last January. In that game, he took 1 wicket for 34 runs in 3 overs.

Arjun had an excellent all-around performance from MIG Cricket Club on Sunday in the Police Invitational Shield Cricket Tournament 2020/21 organized by the Mumbai Cricket Association. He remained unbeaten on 77 off 26 balls with five fours and eight sixes against Islam Gymkhana.

Left-arm fast bowler Arjun hit five sixes in a single over to spinner Hashir Dafedar. Arjun had taken three wickets in the tournament. They have been consistently performing well in this competition.

Former Mumbai Indians captain Sachin Tendulkar’s son Arjun made his IPL debut on Sunday for Mumbai Indians against Kolkata Knight Riders at the Wankhede Stadium. The same venue where Tendulkar Sr. had played his last match for India against the West Indies in 2013.
