Teams qualified for FIFA World Cup 2022
Thirteen nations have secured places for next year’s FIFA World Cup in Qatar. Thirteen countries have secured their places in the World Cup along with the games on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning. In the World Cup, the group of 10 European qualifiers is the winner, while the two teams are in the top two of the South American selection. As the host nation, Qatar has directly qualified for the World Cup.
Portugal will have to play in the playoffs if Serbia qualifies directly for the World Cup from Group A of European selection. Sweden is guaranteed a place in the playoffs as Spain makes it to Group B. Italy will play in the playoffs if Switzerland makes it to Group C, while eventual winners France from Group D have made it to the World Cup.
Similarly, Belgium from Group E, Wales, and the Czech Republic have a chance to qualify for the World Cup through the playoffs. Scotland will play in the playoffs if Denmark qualifies directly from Group F, while runners-up Turkey will play in the playoffs when the Netherlands qualifies for the World Cup along with the group winners from Group G.
Russia will have to play in the playoffs when Croatia qualifies for the World Cup in Group H. Poland will play in the playoffs as England wins Group I from Group I. Similarly, North Germany has been given a chance to travel to the World Cup from the playoffs as Germany made it straight from Group J.
Now, a total of 12 teams, including 10 teams from 10 groups and two National League teams, will get a chance to play in the World Cup through the playoffs. Out of these only three teams will make a place in the World Cup. In the playoffs in March, 12 teams will be divided into three groups, with the winner making it to the World Cup. Meanwhile, Brazil and Argentina have already qualified for the World Cup from South America as they are not sure which team will be selected from Asia and Africa.
